"When we are mindful of our breathing, it automatically helps us to establish greater calmness in both the body and the mind. Then we are better able to be aware of our thoughts and feelings with a greater degree of calm and with a more discerning eye. We are able to see things more clearly and within a larger perspective, all because we are a little more awake, a little more aware".
Jon Kabat-Zinn, Full catastrophe living, 1990, p. 49.
Sometimes we get lost in the crowd, in rules and in expectations.
Mindfulness Bee is an invitation to slow down into your being and find yourself wherever you are.
Mindfulness Bee can help you improve the relationship with your mind and body by intentionally using certain attitudes that you will be exploring and cultivating throughout the sessions.
Mindfulness Bee is based on the Mindfulness Now UK program, which is a combination of two clinical-based programs (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy) that have been proven to help people suffering from stress, anxiety and depression relapse.
What to expect:
"So the attitude that we bring to the practice of mindfulness will to a large extent determine its long-term value to us. This is why consciously cultivating certain attitudes can be very helpful in getting the most out of the process of meditation. Your intentions set the stage for what is possible".
Jon Kabat-Zinn, Full catastrophe living, 1990, p. 20.
I suggest approaching the sessions without expectations, but with an open and receptive mindset.
Here is an overview: the sessions blend teaching and practice. You will learn about how mindfulness positively affects your brain, and you will become familiar with the reactive mechanisms of your body and mind. I will guide you through the meditation process, emphasizing attitudes beneficial for daily life. I will incorporate poems, excerpts from articles, and role-play exercises to deepen your awareness of your body and mind.
